Peppermint Nutcracker Blown Glass Christmas Ornament by Old World Christmas

This Peppermint Nutcracker translates a classic Christmas figure into a slender blown-glass ornament with crisp candy-striped detail. The glass form is silvered from within, then hand painted and glittered in stages, giving the uniform and peppermint accents enough definition to stand out among foliage. Its narrow vertical shape is useful between fuller round ornaments, where it introduces both height and a more graphic red-and-white note.

“The peppermint stripe is what makes this work for me: it is graphic, cheerful, and just disciplined enough to keep a traditional tree from becoming sleepy.”
-Mrs. Mayfair
