Olive Grove Handled Acacia Wood Cheese Board by Vagabond House
Raised pewter olive branches form the handles of this round acacia wood cheese board. The sculpted fruit and leaves sit around the thirteen-and-a-half-inch wood surface, defining the serving area without taking over its center.
“I would arrange the cheese inward from the raised branches. The handles should remain easy to see and use, with a clear place for a knife.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Care & Ownership
Hand wash with mild soap and a soft sponge, then dry immediately, including around pewter fittings. Do not soak or put in the dishwasher, oven or microwave. Occasionally apply a thin coat of food-grade mineral oil to clean, dry wood and buff away the excess. Let both faces dry with air around them before storing, and keep blades clear of decorative metalwork.
Maker / Heritage
Vagabond House began in 1986 by turning antique silver tableware into jewelry and table accents. The Haas and Hardy families focused the company on tableware after acquiring it in 2004, and three generations now contribute to the Sierra Madre, California business. Its designers look closely at nature, old architecture and antiques, then work with carvers, artisans and fabricators to bring those ideas into useful objects. In the pewter work, details such as the veins of an oak leaf or the textured skin of a pear are carved and polished into the form. That attention to small, recognizable things gives the pieces much of their character at the table.
