Handcrafted Cheese Knife Set with Ebony Wood Handles by Laguiole en Aubrac – Set of 3

$329.95

Three different blade forms make this Laguiole en Aubrac cheese set a useful companion to a varied cheese board. The set includes a hard-cheese knife, a soft-cheese knife, and a spreader, each with an ebony wood handle and Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel blade. Made in Espalion, France, the pieces are presented together in a wooden storage box, ready to take their distinct places beside the cheeses.

“I prefer to give different cheeses their own serving tools. It keeps the board easier to share, and the dark handles would sit beautifully against pale cheese and a simple wooden board.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

CARE & OWNERSHIP

Wash gently by hand with warm water, mild dish soap, and a soft sponge, then dry the blade and handle promptly with a soft cloth. Keep natural handles out of the dishwasher and avoid leaving the pieces to soak. Store with the edges protected; where a presentation box is included, return the pieces once they are clean and completely dry.

MAKER / HERITAGE

From workshops in Espalion and its own forge in Montézic, Laguiole en Aubrac carries forward the cutlery traditions of France’s Aubrac region. Each knife is made by a single cutler, keeping the shaping, fitting, and finishing of the piece in skilled hands. Recognized as an Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant, or Living Heritage Company, the maker combines local craftsmanship with a choice of natural handle materials. This modern manufacture helps sustain a regional Laguiole tradition with nineteenth-century roots.
