Sailboats IV Art Print by Splendus
Sailboats IV Art Print by Splendus
Sailboats IV centers on a full sail against subdued water and a hazy sky. Browns and grays bring the vessel into focus without breaking the atmosphere of the wider scene. The print is particularly appealing where a room needs a maritime reference with little bright blue: above a desk, beside books, or among drawings and landscapes in a collected wall arrangement.
“I would choose this for its sail before its subject. That pale shape has a lovely presence against darker surroundings and does not need a strongly nautical room.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

CARE & OWNERSHIP
Choose a spot away from direct sunlight, damp walls, and strong changes in heat or humidity, so the print can be enjoyed for years to come. Handle unframed paper by its edges with clean, dry hands, and have it framed behind suitable glazing before display. Keep moisture and cleaning products away from the printed surface. For canvas, lift away settled dust with a clean, soft, dry brush; avoid rubbing the surface or using liquid cleaners. Dust the frame gently with a soft, dry cloth. Where glazing is present, keep cleaner on the cloth rather than spraying it towards the artwork.
MAKER / HERITAGE
Splendus is an artist-led studio that brings together original work and a curated collection of art from different periods. Its fine-art reproductions use giclée printing and archival media, with a choice of papers and framing treatments across the collection. The result offers a way to collect images for their character and their place in a home, from a single small drawing to a generous landscape.
