Louie Style 2 Unlacquered Brass Coat and Hat Hook by B&M Hardware
Louie Style 2 rises in a single curve from a small decorative backplate. The compact solid brass form makes a useful point for a coat, robe or scarf, while its unlacquered finish changes naturally with handling. It is a modest detail for a paneled wall, the back of a door or a run of individual hooks.
“I like a small hook that leaves the surrounding panel visible. The shaped backplate gives this one a little character without needing a long upper arm.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

CARE & OWNERSHIP
Dust with a soft cloth. For cleaning, wipe gently with a barely damp cloth and a little mild soap, then wipe clean and dry immediately, protecting nearby wood or painted surfaces from moisture. The unlacquered brass will naturally darken and develop patina with handling and exposure. If you prefer a brighter surface, use a brass polish suitable for unlacquered brass, following its directions and testing discreetly first. Avoid abrasive pads. Periodically check that the mounting screws remain snug without overtightening.
MAKER / HERITAGE
B&M Hardware’s specialist catalogue brings together the fittings that give traditional interiors their sense of permanence. Victorian, Art Nouveau and Arts and Crafts profiles sit alongside simple cabinet knobs and practical restoration hardware. The appeal is in the particulars: a shaped mounting plate, a well-drawn curve and brass that can acquire the marks of daily use. These are details for furnishing an older house thoughtfully, or giving new cabinetry a considered relationship with traditional architecture.
