Amalfi Hand-Painted Serving Platter in Rosa by Piano Piano

Pink leafy ornament travels over the elongated oval of the Amalfi Serving Platter in Rosa, giving shared food a pale, decorative setting. The low form is useful for sliced dishes, vegetables, fruit, or pastries and sits comfortably among deeper bowls. Made and painted by hand in Italy, the earthenware platter can soften a strongly colored table or bring a little pattern to plain white pieces and natural linen.

“I enjoy a softly colored platter for more than sweets. Roasted vegetables or a simple sliced dish would make a pleasing contrast with the pink painting.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

CARE & OWNERSHIP

These pieces are dishwasher and microwave safe. For a gentle wash by hand, use warm water, mild detergent, and a soft sponge. Let hot ceramics cool before rinsing, keep abrasive pads away from the painted finish, and settle stacked pieces carefully so their rims do not knock together.

MAKER / HERITAGE

Piano Piano’s tableware is individually handcrafted and hand-painted by local Italian artisans on the Amalfi Coast. The wider ceramic tradition of Vietri sul Mare reaches back to the Renaissance, where clay, kiln work, color, and hand painting developed into a distinctive regional craft. Each Piano Piano piece retains the small variations that come with work finished by hand.
