Acorn and Oak Leaf Pewter Napkin Ring by Vagabond House

Two pewter oak leaves meet beneath a cluster of acorns to form this napkin ring. Veined leaves and sculpted fruit bring the Acorn and Oak Leaf pattern close to each place, with a four-inch-wide profile.

“Broad leaves call for a relaxed napkin fold. I would let the cloth fall naturally and turn the acorns upward, where their shape reads at a glance.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Maker / Heritage

Vagabond House began in 1986 by turning antique silver tableware into jewelry and table accents. The Haas and Hardy families focused the company on tableware after acquiring it in 2004, and three generations now contribute to the Sierra Madre, California business. Its designers look closely at nature, old architecture and antiques, then work with carvers, artisans and fabricators to bring those ideas into useful objects. In the pewter work, details such as the veins of an oak leaf or the textured skin of a pear are carved and polished into the form. That attention to small, recognizable things gives the pieces much of their character at the table.
